Analysis for Saturday 18th July.

Newmarket

3.42 Jumby is well handicapped and even last August he was placing here over cd off aff a mark of 94 in a class 2 so in a class 4 off 87 for the yard that won this race last year he might have a better chance than his forecast odds suggest of 13/2. Oliver carmichael is claiming 7lb aswel, so that would help his cause.

He is price sensitive as he's not graced the winners enclosure for a good while but he's been running off marks ranging from 105 last April to 89 in a class 2 in May this year so this race is the easiest he's ran in.

Forecast to be 13/2, we'd be interested at 5 or above for a small play.

Where's freddy would be our idea of a danger with a cd record of 3 runs, 2 wins, and is now 2lb below his last winning mark.

4:52 Newmarket John Harisson

John Harrison ran a really nice race at Salisbury last time over the mile, only getting going late, indicating that the step up in trip could be ideal. He runs off the same mark, which is a bonus, and his trainer does well with this type of horse.

That was his first run since January, so hopefully, there is some improvement from that aspect as well. Moon Wrap could be anything, but on what we know, John Harrison looks to have a lot in his favour. Forecast to be 3/1 it’s worth taking a chance and having a small win bet at anything bigger than 5/2

Doncaster

7.15 Thapa vc has been on our radar for the season and has been going off favourite most of the time. He ran a decent race when 3rd over cd in June when we were on magic music who won and then ran a cracker at Bath beaten just a head a week later.

His run at Kempton is a bit of a chuck out as nothing could finish from the back as the track was riding slow.

So hopefully, back here on his favoured gf ground and a forecast price of 6s would be a fair price.
