Analysis for Thursday September 10th

Epsom

3.07 Carnival Day is a horse I've been waiting on to get his ground and drop into a class 5. I'm writing this 48 hours early, so I'm doing a rain dance for him as soft ground would aid his cause.

He's now a pound below his last winning mark, which was over cd on good to soft ground in a class 5, which he won by 4 lengths easing down last July.

His run in a class 4 last time out at Sandown in 3rd signalled a return to form, and I think worst-case scenario the ground will be good ground, so hopefully, a good run is in the offing.

Forecast to be 13/2 5s or above would be fair.

Doncaster

5.20 Devil's peak travelled strongly in the class 2 Melrose handicap last time out at York looking to play a big part in the finish before just seeming to run out of petrol in the final furlong. So this step back in distance and down in grade will help his cause as an improving 3-year-old.

William buick is back on who won on him 3 starts back beating turty tree who's subsequently won a 52k class 2 handicap at Ascot.

The time after that, he finished 2nd at the Goodwood festival doing all his best work in the finish behind the heavily backed into the light.

He's forecast to be 9/4.
