5.08 camino del Ray didn't get the best of runs through repeatedly stopped for a run over cd behind the prolific Aisling Oscar when beaten 3 and 3 quarter lengths after a 200 day break. I think he finished with some running left and he got dropped a couple of pounds for that effort so now runs in a 0-70 with pieces on 1st time from a good draw and a professional jock on his back should have a fair chance at reasonable forecast price and if I could get between 8s and 10s I'd play him small.
Hachiman I was quite taken by his win at Lingfield in August coming from some way back and mowing his rivals down in the final strides but looked to have something left. That race has worked out ok particularly the horse in second has won 3 times since and is now rated in the 80s and various other winners have come out of the race. He then ran twice on the turf after and was disappointing but that was the case for all his turf runs. I'd want to see market support before the off for this one as he's left the crisford yard and they're a shrewd outfit so for me it's not a positive, but the possible angle is hes back on the all-weather had a break and is lightly raced. I'd only play small if he was backed close to the off personally as I'll not be able to get prices but if he's a crazy price like 14s you could play a couple of shillings just incase and the value is secured. It's upto you.
6.15 St faz, watch in market as he's left Gordon Elliott and isn't badly handicapped on old flat form. He's better known for his jumping exploits in Ireland and this may just be a tune up for his next jumping assignments in the uk but a cautionary look to see if he's strong in the market at the off wouldn't go a miss. I wouldn't play until I'm sure he's backed at the off otherwise he could just as easily fall out the back of the TV. I've just noticed he's opened up 15/8 that is not value and way too short, I thought he'd be 7s. I would not go anywhere near him at this price so I'll be forgetting about him personally.
Wolverhampton
5.30 my o my? Basically on all known form has no chance and once again if he's not strong at the off it's a definite no play.
I'm looking out for him as the yard are quite clever and this is first time in a classified race. In December at Lingfield rossa was booked and although finishing beaten 12.5 lengths it was in a handicap that has been working out ok and he was only 12/1 but it was probably the Rossa factor. He got beaten out of sight the next time at Kempton so once again I'll only be remotely interested if there's loads of dosh for him near the off otherwise he could just as easily finish last.
