Wolverhampton
2.42 Hannahs return 7/2, dropped into a classified event and is a cd winner and multiple course winner. With a weak pace fc I'd imagine they'll go prominent. I must admit I was expecting a slightly bigger price but I guess the bookies are a bit concerned incase they get turned over with it. At the price he is I'd wait to make sure he's strong before the off as it's not as if he's a big price now.
4.52 storm catcher, on his day is a decent horse and by process of elimination he might have a better chance than his forecast price of 20s suggests.
Nolton cross has had 692 days off so must have had a problem and is on the same mark as when he won by a chin hair at Southwell so the percentage call is a no go.
Space port 137 days off a hurdle run now 346 days off must have had problems, never won on all weather and is on his last winning mark, percentage call no.
Lady of Arabia Been running well in fillies races and the run behind morrophore in fifth was good but she's not a world beater and if storm catcher was on his A game I think would struggle with him.
Vaguely royal, has won once over jumps in October 24 since leaving the gosden yard and other than that has been no good. His last win on flat was cd in Dec 23 off a mark of 89, he's off 81 today and moved yard to Ian Williams but even so unless there was a fortune for it you'd not play it.
That just leaves the lightly raced 4yrs rastnet could be an improver of course being lightly raced and is obvious to a degree but whether shes well handicapped only time will tell. shrimp Shady was very disappointing last time out so he's not for me and I'm not too sure how much improvement us to come from pride of donegal really. So for me the value lies with potentially storm catcher so if I could get between 14 and 20s I'd play small taking the chance storm puts his best foot forward.
Newcastle
7.00 Heavenly Heather 11-9, didn't get the run of the race entirely last time out and has been in good form this winter and wouldn't be out of it at a reasonable price
