Wolverhampton
6.30 Havana sky, has a good draw and a forecast strong pace to run at so hopefully Hector can adopt a good position stalking a bum fight out front and pounce down the straight. He's dropped 2lb and has had a well needed 48 day break having ran alot from July to January. He's still 2lb above his last winning mark but has ran in second twice in December over 7f off Marks of 70 and 71 at wolves and Lingfield. Head gear was left off last time out and blinkers are returning tomorrow which he has won in before. His cd record is 6 runs 3 wins and a place so 50% strike rate. Hector has ridden him 9 times with 3 wins, two 2nds and a 3rd.
For me it's about price, he's forecast to be 20s and if I could get between 12s and 20s I'd play small and even ew if that's what you prefer.
7.30 Riot into a 0-65 class 6 for the first time, cheek pieces on having had head gear left off since joining the Wallis yard and has dropped 11lb since December 1st.
Tongue tie and visor was the last winning combination when with the omeara yard but interesting he has the pieces back on for his first start in a class 6 and it's his first time back here since his last win over cd off a mark of 73 so 8lb lower than that tomorrow off 65. He's a boom or bust for sure and he's forecast to be 20s and I wouldn't want less than 14s fir a very small play.
Dayman is interesting with rossa booked for the first time for this yard and incidently his last win was with rossa on at Kempton in June 2022 for David loughnane. Infact only rossa has won on him so I'm guessing they're throwing the kitchen sink at him tomorrow after his fair run in 3rd over 6f last time out, that race incidently is working out quite well as the 1st, second and 4th have all won since. He his a cd winner aswel.
8.30 tiger beetle, as some on here will know I've been following him with interest because I tried to byg him a year and a half ago. He's obviously well handicapped now as he's dropped a stone in the weights since September. Last time out I thought he travelled with a but more zest than he has for some time. They went a snails pace for the first 2 thirds of the race when turned is into a sprint in the final 3rd of the race which wouldn't suit him. This is first time in a 0-55, tongue tie and pieces are retained there appears to be a bit more pace which will suit, and this is his cd with 3 wins and two places to his name. Its a complete boom or bust but if he's anywhere near the forecast price of 20s I'd play small. I'm hopeful we will get something out of him in the near future even if it's not tomorrow. Its all about price again.
