Southwell

6.50 ghost mode, I thought last year this colt was starting to really hit his straps and I'd be surprised if a mark of 88 was his ceiling and that there isn't improvement to come. He hacked up at Chester by 5.5 lengths in a 15k 7f maiden in September from the front and then went to York in a 100k race for 2yo colts and geldings where he nearly clung on having travelled well throughout from the front over 7f and at the 6f pole would have won comfortably so I think he's got the speed for 6f no problem. He's got a good draw to get prominent and Murphy is on board so after his break of 154 days I'd be hopeful he's fresh and ready to go.

Hes forecast to be 3/1 and I would want to get somewhere very close to that to be called value.. if he's priced up very short I'd rather watch the race than play.

7.20 Moby quick, is a complete boom or bust and is based on the fact he's now back on his last winning mark, dropped in grade to a 0-65 class 6 from a 0-75 class 5 and his last run over the 7f here at Southwell behind gold Moyne who's gone in twice since is not bad in the context of this race and he looked to be coming back to himself. The last time he was in a class 6 off 65 he won.. admittedly that was in a 6f race but he has ran numerous races over the mile to suggest he just about gets it. There are a lot if dangers in here which is why this is all about value. If he's 14s or bigger he's worth a very small play. Otherwise I'd leave him as he's a boom or bust and must be value to risk him!

Wolverhampton

7.10 Dayman is interesting with rossa booked for the first time for this yard and incidently his last win was with rossa on at Kempton in June 2022 for David loughnane. Infact only rossa has won on him so I'm guessing they're throwing the kitchen sink at him tomorrow after his fair run in 3rd over 6f 2 starts back, that race incidently is working out quite well as the 1st, second and 4th have all won since.

Last time out interestingly Rossa was booked but was not well so Billy took over and he was quite badly hampered down the final furlong when trying to make his move.

He his a cd winner and has a good draw tomorrow so all looks set for a good run. I'd want atleast 4/1 for him to be value.
