Fiscal Policy returns to Pontefract, where he has two wins previously and a third in a class 3. Harry Vigors rides in an apprentice race and is good value in a race like this. He won earlier in the year here off 69, and off one pound higher seems in good enough form to go close. Forecast to be 8s, anything around 6s would be decent value here and a possible each way bet as he seems to have more in his favour than most.

4.45 Middleton view I've been watching this horse for a while as I think at a low level he's got some upside.

He ran badly last time out at Brighton on gf ground in a class 5, I can forgive a horse a poor run at Brighton as some horses won't enjoy the camber or idiosyncratic nature of the track. I also think his knee action lends itself to a bit of juice in the ground, so forecast gs ground is fine.

2 starts back over this cd on good ground he was eye-catching to me in a 0-75, finishing strongly to get 4th beaten just a length and three quarters. The yard is going well and dropped into a 0-65 class 6 back here with juice in the ground and 3lb lower he could have a small chance at the forecast price of 12s. 8s or above would be OK.

4:00 Ayr. You Sexy Thing

You Sexy Thing is an unexposed three year old taking on mostly elder rivals on only his third run of the year. He is dropping in class here form a 0-87 to 0-75 with all three horses that beat him at Ascot rated in the 80s and there is certainly nothing of that calibre here, he was staying on indicating the step back to a mile should be within his compass and the first four pulled two and half lengths clear of the rest that day. He had some solid two year old form, and with trainer and jockey going well, hopefully, stall 13, which isn’t ideal, can be overcome. Forecast to be 8s, i would expect more like 5s, and anything above 4/1 would be okay.
