Lingfield
1.18 I'm going to call this race the likely lads race, with Johnny butler, Gary Moore, Dave Evans and James Owen and the horse watchers closely in behind.
All of their horses would have a chance if the day was the day and you'd think they've probably had a 4 way phone call to see who's doing what if at all. For me it's a parade ring view to see who's there and where the cash is coming from.
Profit street in to a 0-55 having been contesting better races probably looks the safest option at this time of writing and his last run here in December in the class 5 over 6f beaten just a neck is good in the context of this race. He has won over 7f at Newcastle in the past up the hill so you'd think in a race like this the trip shouldn't be a problem even though most of his form is over 6f.
I'll be reserving my play for nearer the off though.
2.18 Conquest of power 5/2, won this race last year as an odds-on shot but admittedly had run 2 decent races in handicaps prior.
I do think his most recent over 6f at Kempton was a warm up for a crack at this classified event and if back to the form of last year's win he'd have a good chance.
He's forecast to be 4 / 1 and if he was that or bigger I'd play small and take a chance.
2.48 Angelica k 7/4 has a fair chance but at the likely price of 9/4ish at a track she's never ran at I'd be leaving the race alone. Wrist art ran well here over 10f leading upto the furlong pole so wouldn't be without a chance here over 8f . Nicely curved has been bought from America so interesting to see how she goes in the market tongue tie and head gear 1st time. And lisabetta isn't a complete no hoper here so all in all for me it's complicated.
3.18 Coolagh magic 11, as I said 12 days ago is a horse I'm keeping an eye on, this is his track and he's a pound lower than his last winning mark although Jack doughty did claim 3lb that day. His run last time out wasn't devoid of promise after wind surgery finishing 4th but staying on and I'm pretty sure the day he's ready he'll be well backed so I'll be waiting to see the vibes in the parade and market, his last 2 wins have come over the 5f but he has plenty of winning form over 6f.
Whether it's tomorrow or in a month's time I'll be waiting for him.
3.48 Arcadian nights, winner of this race last year is a pound above his last winning mark, but wouldn't be without a chance at a decent price forecast and Billy on board.
Good speed should be monitored in the market having come over to the Moore yard from France.
Kate oreilly has a record on the all-weather of 3 runs 2 wins and a place so could be interesting backnon an artificial surface down a couple of pounds.
And perfect life, callum Rodriguez comes in for one ride for Owen burrows. Looks to be an all-weather horse with 3 runs a win and 2 places and the Wolverhampton novice from March in which he finished second is working out reasonably well.
All in all a good race but complicated and one I'll be keen to see in the parade and how markets are forming.
4.18 take the boat has an obvious chance after winning a 0-65 at wolves last time out but has never ran well here. Although has only ran once here. Up in trip should suit Knight of magic and hawaian King. And rossa is back on three on Thursday so all in all a complicated race I'm unlikely to play.
